About Sevierville Tennessee

Sevierville is the county seat for Sevier County Tennessee and best known as the hometown of Dolly Parton,  famous country and western singer.  Sevierville is the last town before Pigeon Forge along the road going from Knoxville to the mountains.  Sevierville is where you will find most of the major shopping in the regions.  There are stores like the Tanger Outlet Mall and Walmart,  as well as home shopping centers like Home Depot and Lowes.

Although Sevierville has a great number of attractions, restaurants, hotels and touristy type things,  it is most importantly a base of support for people living and working in places like Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the national park.  The area’s utilities,  government and major hospital are all based in Sevierville.

Sevierville has grown substantially with the area but you can still see thriving signs of businesses that have served this area for many years.  A few of the best known are Blaylock’s Paving,  Blaylock’s Hardware, and Carl Ownby lumber yard
