Welcome to Bear Mountain cabin in beautiful Black Bear Hollow, Wears Valley, Tennessee. Black Bear Hollow is a privately owned gated community that offers a small number of secluded cabins. Bear Mountain sits on 5 private and secluded acres and yet is in an area that is central to all the attractions and sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains! There are only 7 cabins on 58 acres in a setting that includes an old growth forest, creek, waterfall, caves and covered pavilion with a fire pit. You and yours will love staying in this unique and special part of the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee!

Bear Mountain has many unique features that you and your family are going to find very enjoyable! You will get your first hint of something special when you enter through the gate and into Black Bear Hollow. Once you turn up the driveway it becomes apparent that this is a completely secluded cabin in a beautiful wooded forest setting! The driveway is paved and the rock parking area is level with room for at least 3 or 4 vehicles.

Enter in through the door and you are greeted by a open concept living space with huge 26 foot ceilings and large glass pane windows that leaves you with the feeling of sitting in the middle of the forest (so cool). Look up and there is a tree with two bear cubs suspended high above that only adds to feeling of being in the forest.

The kitchen is large and comes complete with everything you will need to cook your families favorite dish! Dad will love the outdoor grill for when steaks on the bar-bie are on the menu. The back is made for family get together. There is a new deck and hot tub for taking a relaxing soak in total privacy. Everyone will enjoy sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and sharing the day’s experiences and adventures!
Bear Mountain cabin is so nice you may never want to leave, but if the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are calling you will like that they are within an easy 15 to 30-minute drive of the cabin. If hiking, fishing or sightseeing in the national park are what is on the day’s things to do list, there are two park entrances (one in Wears Valley and the other in Townsend) that are only 10 minutes away.

Or you may choose to spend the day at the swimming pool enjoying the sunshine. The swimming pool and catch N release fishing pond are a short 5-minute drive away! So take a minute to read our previous guests reviews of the cabin. And then do not delay in making your reservations at this wonderful and one of kind mountain experience!

ANOTHER Great Stay at Black Bear Mountain

We try to come at least once a year. We have stayed in many of the cabins but have settled on Black Bear Mountain for the last few years. It’s usually just the 2 of us and it seems like home away from home, except in the very peaceful mountains. The cabin is always nice, well kept and comfortable. I really like the privacy and the quiet. Danny has been great to deal with and we always look forward to our return visit. Definitely 5 of 5 rating.

AMAZING

Love that I found this place. Pictures of Bear Mountain Cabin on website do it no justice, it is beautiful, private and roomy. It was alot of room for just My husband, myself and dog but it was sooo worth it. Im sooo thankful they had just the availability I needed. The owners responded quickly to my thousand questions…lol. They never acted like I was a bother and were very helpful. Cabin from the driveway and when it was light up at night was breathtaking. It was clean and had everything we needed almost, even though i brought alot of our own stuff. It was nice that it had supply just incase we forgot something. We didnt use alot in the cabin since it was just us 2 and we were away most of the time exploring TN, but did enjoy the hot tub. Quiet and relaxing. I would definitely look forward to staying in one of your cabins in the future. Thank you so much for helping make our Anniversary Vacation happen.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed staying at Bear Mountain. Loved the secluded setting. The layout of the cabin was just right for us. We have stayed at a lot of different cabins over the years and this is our favorite by far. We plan on staying here again.

Black Bear Mountain

What a wonderful time at this cabin. We selected this cabin for a small family reunion/vacation which consisted of my Mom & Dad, my two siblings and my daughter and son-in-law. From the time that I made my reservation to the time of our departure that staff at Black Bear Hollow Cabins was outstanding. They answered every question I had extremely timely. The cabin was more than I had expected or anticipated. What a lovely private area that is convenient to everything. We even had a bear visit a few nights which made it all that much more exciting! Thank you so much for making our stay a wonderful experience!

Perfection!

The was perfect for us! We were a family party of three 50+ ladies and four under 30 young people. The cabin was spacious and so very comfortable. I was awakened two mornings at 6:15 by a knocking on the window. The second morning I caught the culprit in the act – it was a cardinal! We had a bear cross the property, adding to the experience. We were close enough to Townsend to be able to visit Cades Cove, Tuckalechee Caverns, River Rat, and antique shopping with ease. Evenings and mornings were peacefully enjoyed at the cabin. We loved our stay and hope to return again soon. Thank you!

Bear Mountain Cabin is wonderful

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve ever had. Stayed a week with my wife, brother, and sister in law. Enjoyed the quiet outdoors on the decks, in the hot tub, and around the fire pit. This cabin is close enough to are attractions by taking an easy ride if you want to.

Great Family Experience

When I first pulled up to the cabin, I was feeling disappointed – I thought it would be bigger. After walking in the door, I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside it looks small, but it was arranged so well that my family of 8 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 toddler fit with plenty of room to spare. The drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge is a very pretty drive, probably about 20-30 minutes with heavy Christmas week traffic. Townsend seems like a really nice little town with a lot of activities, but most are closed during the winter. The home was clean, well organized, and neat. We did have a small problem during our stay, but Danny answered the phone and promptly responded – even offering to personally come out to fix the problem that same day. We will definitely stay at this location again in the near future. * If you visit here, don’t forget to take the driving tour at Cades Cove in the National Park. 11-mile loop through Cades Cove is a really nice way to spend a rainy afternoon enjoying the sights!!!

Beautiful and secluded

Our cabin was beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed the woods and space between neighboring cabins. Most places are right on top of each other, but this one gave us the seclusion and solitary that we were looking for. Thank you so much for a great weekend. We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Mountain Cabin – Awesome place. We definitely look forward to staying again. Peace and quiet. A few chipmunks a bear visited around midnight one night on the back porch. A perfect place if several couples wanted to pitch in and stay. Thank you.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful couple of weeks staying at your cabin. The cabin was exactly as the pictures online. The outside scenery was beautiful. It was really nice to be able to sit by the fire at night or look at the stars while relaxing in the hot tub. I tell all my friends about your beautiful place and how we had such a wonderful time. We will visit again! Hopefully soon!

Wonderful cabin

Walking in the door, it looks great and it smells great. The swing on the porch is a real plus! Comfy beds and comfy pillows. We slept well. Big picture windows make for great views of the woods. Four bedrooms and four baths – no waiting.

Great Location

Cabins are in a wonderful location. Close enough to do whatever you want with just a short drive. Close to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge yet on a secluded road. Could sometimes hear neighbors but not looking in their windows as with other rentals.

Wonderful Cabin

We really enjoyed staying in your beautiful cabin. It had everything we needed. The best thing was location! It was close to Cade’s Cove and shopping. The yard and fire pit were especially nice. No stressful check in or out. Definitely will be back! Thank you so much!

Great Place

Got this spot for a fishing trip. We stayed in the Bear Mountain Cabin. Everything was clean. The beds and couches were exceptionally comfortable. There is lots of room outside. Where cabins usually lack in lot size, this place has. There’s a fire pit with freshly cut wood available. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous

The cabin was perfect for our large family. With kids ages 2 to 13, we enjoyed the game room, hot tub, cave and waterfall, and serene setting. Whenever we had a question, the owners were quick to respond and were quite helpful. Well worth the trip just for the cabin itself, but it was also very close to the Smokies as well as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Thanks for the memories!

Vacation 2016

We have used your cabins for 3 trips while in Tennessee. We enjoy the cabins. They are always so beautiful and clean. Everything was there for our needs and it made our stay more precious because we did not have to go out to restaurants to eat, we ate home cooked meals the entire visit thanks to all your supplies you have available in the cabins. All my friend truly admired our cabin and is asking about your services for possible future trips themselves. It was yet another memorable vacation for my family with the help of you guys. Planning a trip in the Fall 2016. Thanks again!!!
